Jeff Scholnick Speaks to Consumer Bankruptcy Section of the MSBA
On Thursday, October 23, 2014, Jeff Scholnick spoke on the subject of “Dealing with Student Loans, Inside and Outside of Bankruptcy.” He spoke specifically to the Consumer Bankruptcy Section of the Maryland State Bar Association. The talk took place in Baltimore on E. Lombard Street and was aired via video conference to a location in Greenbelt, MD.
The MSBA Consumer Bankruptcy Section provides a forum for consumer bankruptcy lawyers, both debtor and creditor, as well as trustees in the state of Maryland. It focuses on specific consumer bankruptcy laws and issues. Additionally, it functions as a voice for the bankruptcy bar by monitoring and reporting on legislation, bankruptcy cases, local rules and court procedures affecting practitioners and consumers. The Consumer Bankruptcy Section enhances the administration of justice and the competence and skills of Section members by improving their ability to deliver the highest quality, most efficient legal services to their clients.
